How we can help

EmployNext supports individuals in Alberta’s South Zone who have been referred through Alberta Supports by the Government of Alberta. We guide you through an intake process to connect you with local employment programs and wraparound supports that match your goals and needs.

These services are delivered through accessible Resource Centres across metro and non-metro communities, with a network of more than 30 programs and over 120 services, supporting people with disabilities, job seekers, individuals experiencing homelessness, and those needing financial, safety, or family support.

All services are provided at no cost to you through Government of Alberta funding.

What does EmployNext powered by Serco do?
EmployNext powered by Serco, connects job seekers in Southern Alberta to local employment and community support, helping individuals navigate programs and access services they need to move towards their employment goals.
Yes, EmployNext provides services at no cost to eligible Albertans through funding provided by the Government of Alberta.
An individual is referred to EmployNext through their Alberta Supports worker after which they are contacted by us within 5 business days to initiate services.
If you haven’t been referred yet, please contact your Alberta Supports worker for more information.
During your first appointment, a case manager will be assigned to you who will work with you one-on-one to understand your goals, assess your needs, barriers and preferences, and connect you to the right programs, services, and supports that you need to thrive.
Every person’s employment journey is different. Your Case Manager will work with you to develop a personalized Action Plan and provide ongoing support to help you achieve your employment goals through tailored support.
Depending on your needs, you will receive access to community service providers to help address a range of diverse personal, social and practical challenges that can affect employment success. EmployNext coordinates warm handoffs to your local community support ensuring you get the support you need before beginning your employment journey.
We acknowledge that transition periods can create uncertainty and questions. EmployNext is committed to being responsive, transparent and collaborative as we look to establish and strengthen our relationship with individuals by providing guidance and support for when they are ready to begin their employment journey.
EmployNext Alberta takes your privacy seriously. We use secure systems, encryption, role-based access controls, staff training, and confidentiality requirements to help protect your personal information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. Personal information collected as part of Alberta program delivery is stored in Canada and is used only as needed to provide services, meet legal requirements, and support program operations. Yes, EmployNext is committed to providing continuous engagement and check-ins with Job Seekers for up to one year after employment is secured.
In Non-Metro regions, EmployNext will work with you to understand your needs and conduct warm handoff referrals to your local Employment Service Providers and Community Supports ensuring that you get the right support you need.
Your assessment and Action Plan are developed collaboratively and are intended to reflect your goals, needs, and preferences. If you disagree with any part of your assessment or plan, we encourage you to discuss your concerns with your Case Manager. We will listen to your feedback, review the information together, and work with you to make adjustments where appropriate. EmployNext is committed to providing voluntary, individualized services that respect your choice, dignity, and participation in decision-making.
Yes, we offer appointments in whichever manner meets your needs: in-person, phone, and virtual, making it easier to connect with your Case Manager from wherever you are.
